Funny how this begins
In an Art class taught by Katherine Simms
She says, "Today we’ll begin to discuss Salvador Dali"
They say, "That ‘Persistence of Memory’ painting’s dumb!"
She says, "Wake up wake up wake up wake up wake up
You don’t understand the clocks in the sun"
They threw their textbooks up against the wall
She called the principal to act as a moderator
He says, "They pulled this again? That’s hard to believe."
Then he says, "Apparently now my work here is done."
She says, "Leave us alone leave us alone
You can’t understand what this Art class has done"
She says, "Time is precious and surrealism’s fun"
She says, "Oh, someday you will understand
Those clocks in the sun"
