Both the original Nields Web, founded in 1996, and the successor Nields Web, which has been up for a couple of years now, were the work of Nookers, John Senft and Bob Brown, respectively. Bob also succeeded John as list administrator of the Nields Nook, at about the same time he took over the Nields Web, if memory serves
Winter thru Spring '97 --- Bob Kollmeyer offered short music samples on his website and posted to the Nook lyrics of new Nields songs which would later show up on Mousse and Play
Beginning ca. 1997 --- Nields Apocrypha web page. Created by Kate Pritchard
Summer '97 --- the first Nields Nook t-shirt. Designed by Katryna, organized by Tasha Zebrowski, printed by Lurking Pete (can't remember his last name, which he never used on-Nook)
Spring thru Fall 1997 --- the first Nields Tribute Album Project, which never materialized. The name for the album was to have been "We Like the Same Band," thanks to a Nooker poll headed up by Veronica's pal Brie. The first NTAP was headed up by Ian Hannan, who long ago disappeared from the Nook without a trace. Contributors wondering whatever happened to the tapes they sent Ian included Brenda, Astro-Annie, and George!
June '98 --- Jam For the Van! A number of Nookers helped Patty with the million and one details that had to be worked out, including Bob Brown, Jenna, Julie, Andrew Day, and probably many others I'm forgetting
September '98 --- Wedding Book for Dave and Katryna. Rhiannon headed this up, with some help from Katie Stohlmann and Patty, among others
November '99 thru October 2000 --- I did the feature This Day in Nields History on the Nook, which commemorated memorable Nields shows, debuts of new Nields songs, random extemporanea, etc.
Sometime in 2000, Robin Attas completed the first and only Nields Nook FAQ, with a little help from her friends
Also last year, the second Nields Nook t-shirt. Coordinated by Rhi, designed by Diz, quote on the back by Lawrence, printed by Matt
The second Nields Tribute Album Project, headed up by Conehead and George!, is still a work-in-progress. I'm not aware of who has already submitted tapes, of how near or far from completion this latest NTAP is, or if it has been christened with even a working title as yet
For the past few months, Harry Keates has been delivering quality Nields videos online from his website! :)
The deadline for Rhi's Baby Book for Baby Nields-Chalfant is April 30! :)
