Nields Crossing Merry Christmas to the Nook
by Bern (12/25/2001)
to the tune of "Merry Christmas Mr. Jones"

I was in your newbie class of July last year
I was the straight A drunk whose brain was fried
And I argued with you all until I cried
I've always had a little beard
I gave you flak and I played more than a poor girl should
Still I'd like to thank you for being here
When it comes to TN no-one understood
So now it's the Nook I tell my knock-ups and my vacations to
And it's definitely labeled me as strange
But here I I find myself this Christmas Day
With a home right here among strangers
Oh yeah!
Georgia Oh!
The Iron Hooorse!
Nields tour de force!
In excelcis Deo!

Must be this post-thirty thing
But I feel nothing at all for darlist or the grangers
I'm just thinking of all you Nookers
And how you'll deal with me when I get stranger
And I was thinking of Jews
How they taught us resilience in the face of strife
And to cut a hole in a sheet when bedding down with your wife
But you know, O Nook, there's no Torah for me
And there is no-one who I wouldn't goad
But I get offered lots of rides now, and I'll meet you down the road
Oh no!.
Faaaalcon Ridge!
The Pooh-Bah's Fridge!
Bruuuuce's kids!
In excelcis Deo.

Merry Christmas to the Nook (Merry Christmas to the Nook)
I'm still glad I have no TV, I read all day long
And my parents are far away from me, but I'll pick myself up before too long
So I will try to wrap this up.
There's exemption when you confess your dreams to someone
In these 2000 days of Nieldsyness,
Well, I've found something I can believe in
'Cause you know, O Nook, I'm not a stranger anymore
And I'm not trying to be invasive
It's a Christmas present of a different kind and it's one that I yclept.
Amen!
Two Thousand and Two!
I will see you!
You'll see me too!
In Excelcis Nields-O!
