In response to a Nooker who asked for a clarification as to what can and can't be posted on the Nook, Patty offered the following. Also see the etiquette entry in the Nields Nook FAQ.
Although I thought that all were aware of the basic rules of this list, I have been informed they have never really been spelled out.
SIMPLE RULES
- Keep the language clean... avoid using those words that your mother gave you a dirty look for when you said them at dinner ;-) I will try to be flexible with this, my mother was strict.
- No racial slurs or slurs directly or indirectly about anyone on or off this list. If you have something mean to say to someone or about someone, e-mail them directly. I am not talking about a good debate but offensive insults that have been given in the past. There will be no warnings and you will be removed from participating on the Nields Nook.
- Be nice to me (just kidding)!
That's it...very simple!
